using precompiled masterpage is referencing site

I'm a little new to this project, but I had a question right off the bat.

I would like to give my users a .DLL (or .DLLs) that contain my Theme content files, a few .CSS files and a MasterPage or two.

I'm sure the regular content files are fine, but the MasterPage is something I'm not sure about. Can users reference my MasterPage from their project if it is precompiled in my assembly?

Thanks!

Ugh, I should have read the other posts in the forum a little more closely. "fritz" is echoing my need here:

Any news on this feature?

I'm going to put a new version of the project up either today or tomorrow so I'll have a look and see if I can put an example of MasterPages being used the way you described included in the test site and library.

You should be able to embed most kinds of files in your projects. However, to do so with Themes I think you'd probably need to use a VirtualPathProvider as the files must appear in the App_Themes folder.
